About this exercise
Compare the company policy to the four clauses of the fictional standard in the material. Reply with only a markdown table with the columns Clause | Policy status | Question for compliance, one row per clause in clause order. Policy status is exactly one of: Covered, Partial, Not addressed. Each question is under 15 words. Do not say whether the company is compliant. Compliance reviews the table.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Missing the date mismatch. The AI marks the 6-year retention as covered because the number matches. Try: Say: "Check the start date of each period, not just the length."
- Wrong labels. The AI invents statuses like Gap or Compliant. Try: Say: "Status is exactly Covered, Partial or Not addressed."
- Calling it compliant. The AI adds a verdict or extra rows for unrelated policy lines. Try: Say: "No verdicts. One row per clause only."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
What a strong prompt includes
