- For Customer success managers
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write the invitation to Dr. Lin. Line 1 is exactly "Subject: Advisory board invitation" and line 2 is exactly "Hi Dr. Lin,". The last line is exactly "Pam, Customer Success". Include exactly three bullets starting "-" for what membership involves. Give the reply-by date. Offer no payment or gift. Plain text, under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Offering the gift card. The marketing note mentions a $250 gift card. Try: Add: "Offer no payment or gift."
- Guaranteeing betas. The AI says members get early access. Try: Say: "Early access is possible, not guaranteed."
- Wrong open, close or bullets. The AI writes 'Dear' and five bullets. Try: Give the exact lines and say exactly three bullets.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
What a strong prompt includes
