Extract agreed actions to CSV with real due dates
- For Managers and team leads
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Advanced
About this exercise
Turn the call notes into one CSV code block with the header "owner, action, due". Include only actions that were agreed with an owner and a deadline. Convert relative deadlines to real dates using the calendar in the notes, written like Nov 13. At most 6 lines, nothing outside the block.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Keeping relative dates. The AI writes 'end of next week' or 'Monday' in the due column. Try: Say: "Convert to real dates using the calendar."
- Including maybes and internal tasks. The AI lists every bullet as an action. Try: Say: "Only agreed actions with an owner and a deadline."
- Wrong shape. The AI adds a heading and prose. Try: Say: "One CSV code block, header owner, action, due."
- Skipping the code block shape. The AI splits output into several code blocks or none. Try: Say "exactly one code block and nothing else".
- Letting the code sprawl. The AI adds extra lines and comments. Try: Say "at most N lines of code".
What a strong prompt includes
