Outline a six-slide EBR for a customer executive team

  • For Executives
  • You practice Asking for a format you can use
  • Time about 5 minutes
  • Level Intermediate

About this exercise

Outline an EBR deck as exactly 6 numbered lines formatted "N. Slide title - purpose", with the purpose 6 words or fewer. Use these slide titles in order: Goals recap, Results, ROI, Adoption, Risks and fixes, Next 12 months. Leave out pricing, renewal and upsell. Plain text.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Including internal items. The material lists the renewal and the upsell. Try: Say: "Leave out pricing, renewal and upsell."
  • Changing the slide order. The AI reorders or renames slides. Try: Say: "Use these six titles in this order."
  • Wordy purposes. The AI writes full sentences. Try: Say: "Purpose 6 words or fewer."
  • Leaving the list shape open. The AI picks its own number of items and its own layout. Try: Show the shape: "exactly N numbered lines like: 1. Label: detail".
  • Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".

What a strong prompt includes

  • Fixes the number of lines
  • Asks for plain text
  • Lists the titles
  • Bans internal topics
