Send a seat-add proposal with the co-term math in one line
- For Customer success managers
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write the email to Ms. Ito. Line 1 is "Subject:" with 7 words or fewer. Exactly 3 sentences: the proposal with the math shown like "10 x $30 x 5 = $1,500", how it fits her renewal, and how long the quote is valid. Use no urgency tactics. Last line exactly "Jin, Customer Success". Plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Inventing urgency. The sales suggestion says the price goes up Dec 1. Try: Add: "No urgency tactics; the quote is valid 30 days."
- Missing the math line. The AI states $1,500 without the working. Try: Say: "Show 10 x $30 x 5 = $1,500."
- Wrong subject, count or sign-off. The AI writes six sentences and signs 'Best'. Try: Give the limits and the exact last line.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
