Make an account-takeover checklist in procedure order
- For IT teams
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Advanced
About this exercise
Write a checklist of exactly 5 lines, each starting with "[ ] ", in the order the procedure requires, naming the exact tool where the procedure does. One line must say what not to do yet, even though the customer asks for it. Each line under 14 words. Plain text, nothing else.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Resetting as the customer asks. The AI treats the reset as step one. Try: Say: "Do not reset or change the email until security verifies."
- Wrong order. The AI puts the form before locking. Try: Say: "Keep the procedure order."
- Missing the tool paths. The AI says 'lock the account' only. Try: Say: "Name the exact admin panel path."
- Markdown checklist. The AI uses '- [ ]' bullets. Try: Say: "Each line starts with [ ] and a space; plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Specifies the line start
- Keeps the order
- Names the tool paths
- Asks for plain text
- Sets a length limit
