Build a five-day onboarding table that follows the sequencing rules

About this exercise

Output a table with the header "Day | Morning | Afternoon" and five rows, Mon to Fri, following the rules. Plain text, each cell at most 6 words, under 90 words in all.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Putting product knowledge on Thursday morning. The AI ignores the trainer's absence. Try: Say: "Thursday morning is live tickets; trainer is out."
  • Starting live tickets too early. The AI starts live tickets on day 2. Try: Say: "Live tickets start Wednesday afternoon."
  • Missing the table format. The AI writes paragraphs by day. Try: Give the header and cell limit.
  • Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".

What a strong prompt includes

  • Gives the header
  • Limits cells
  • Mentions the sequencing rules
  • Asks for plain text
  • Sets a length limit
