Write a bug title and a two-sentence summary for engineering
- For IT teams
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write the bug ticket for engineering with exactly two lines starting "Title:" and "Summary:". Title starts with "[Export]" and is 10 words or fewer. Summary is exactly 2 sentences, includes the ticket count and the browser, and leaves out customer names. Plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Naming customers. The tickets are signed with names. Try: Say: "No customer names."
- Blaming the ad blocker. The agent note suggests it. Try: Say: "Only confirmed facts; leave out guesses."
- Wrong title or length. The AI writes a long title and a paragraph. Try: Say: "Title starts [Export], 10 words or fewer; summary exactly 2 sentences."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Letting the sentences run on. The AI writes as many sentences as it likes. Try: Name the cap: "at most N sentences".
