About this exercise
Reply to Aiden. Do not say our product is better, cheaper, faster or superior, and do not comment on the competitor. State our price and two features from the plan sheet, offer the free trial, and end with "Mei at Tallyo". Plain text, under 65 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Claiming superiority. The AI says 'ours is better because...'. Try: Say: "Don't claim better, cheaper or superior."
- Using the internal note. The AI mentions the competitor's outages. Try: Say: "Don't mention the competitor or internal notes."
- Missing the trial or sign-off. The AI forgets the trial offer or ends differently. Try: Quote the sign-off and name the 14-day trial.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Rules out claims
- Names the trial and sign-off
- Asks for two features
- Asks for plain text
