Route six complaints to teams with a priority flag
- For Customer support teams
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Route each complaint. Output a table with the header row exactly "Complaint | Team | Priority" and six rows C1 to C6. Team is one of Finance Ops, Logistics, Quality, Team Lead, Web Team. If a complaint has two topics, use the team for the first one mentioned. Priority is High if the customer says "third time" or "cancel", otherwise Normal. Plain text, table only.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Routing by the most serious topic. The team lead note sends C3 to Finance, but the first topic is the defect. Try: Say: "Two topics: use the team for the first one mentioned."
- Marking more tickets High. The AI flags angry complaints High. Try: Say: "High only for 'third time' or 'cancel'."
- Wrong table. The AI adds a reason column. Try: Give the exact header row; table only.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
