Summarize tagged CSAT comments as a table with quotes
- For Customer support teams
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Summarize the tagged comments as a table with the header row exactly "Theme | Count | Quote". One row per theme, sorted by count from highest to lowest. Quote is a verbatim phrase of 6 words or fewer from one comment of that theme. Plain text, under 70 words, table only.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Counting wrong. The AI counts positive comments only or merges tags. Try: Say: "Count by tag, positive or negative."
- Paraphrased quotes. The AI writes its own summary phrase. Try: Say: "Quote verbatim, 6 words or fewer."
- Extra text. The AI adds an intro and insights. Try: Say: "Table only."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
