About this exercise
Your marketing manager wants to know what customers talk about most. Make one markdown table with columns Theme, Comments and % of 12, from the tagged comments, sorted from most to fewest comments, plus nothing before or after the table. Count each comment once, under its first tag only, and round percents to one decimal. Plain text apart from the table, under 60 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Double counting comments. The AI counts a comment under both tags, so totals exceed 12. Try: Add: "Count each comment once, under its first tag only."
- No percent column. The AI gives counts without % of 12. Try: Add: "% = comments / 12 x 100, one decimal."
- Adding commentary. The AI adds quotes and recommendations. Try: Add: "Output only the table."
- Leaving the format to chance. The AI picks its own length and layout unless told the exact shape. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold or headings."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example "each line under 15 words."
What a strong prompt includes
