About this exercise
The dashboard shows an annual run rate that looks too high. Write exactly 3 numbered lines with the math shown: 1 the recurring monthly revenue after removing the one-time item, 2 the annual run rate (monthly times 12), 3 how far the dashboard figure is above it. Plain text, under 60 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Annualizing the total. The AI multiplies $48,000 by 12 and repeats the dashboard. Try: Add: "Remove the $6,000 one-time fee first."
- No working. The AI states $504,000 without the steps. Try: Add: "Write each line with the numbers."
- No gap line. The AI never compares with the dashboard's $576,000. Try: Add: "Line 3: $576,000 - $504,000 = $72,000."
- Leaving the format to chance. The AI picks its own length and layout unless told the exact shape. Try: Add: "Exactly 3 numbered lines. Plain text, no bold or headings."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example "each line under 15 words."
