About this exercise
Before the board meeting, your CEO wants the 4 hardest questions directors are likely to ask, each answered only from the pack. Format each as a Q: line then an A: line, and end every answer with its source in brackets, like [Tab 3]. If the pack has no answer, write "A: Not in pack - need to prepare". Plain text, under 220 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Easy questions. The AI asks friendly questions, or follows the CEO's note about the office. Try: Say: "The 4 hardest questions, about misses and open risks."
- No sources. The AI writes confident answers you can't check against the pack. Try: Add: "End each answer with its source tab in brackets, like [Tab 3]."
- Filling gaps with guesses. When the pack has no answer, the AI invents a date or cost. Try: Add: "If the pack has no answer, write: Not in pack - need to prepare."
- Loose Q&A shape. The AI uses bold headings and long paragraphs. Try: Show it: "Q: ... then A: ... Plain text, each answer under 35 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Asks for hard questions
- Fixes the count and shape
- Requires sources
- Says what to do with gaps
- Sets length and format
