About this exercise
Extract the key dates from the contract excerpt into a markdown table with columns Item, Date, Section. Only dates stated in the text; compute nothing and conclude nothing about what is required. Add a last line exactly: Dates to be confirmed by counsel. Output only the table and that line.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Computing dates. The AI calculates the notice deadline. Try: Say: "Only dates stated in the text; compute nothing."
- Using the margin note. The AI includes 'Dec 2026'. Try: Say: "The margin note is not part of the contract."
- Missing the counsel line. The AI ends with a summary. Try: Say: "End with the exact counsel line."
- Wrong columns. The AI changes the headers. Try: Say: "Columns: Item, Date, Section."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap it: "short phrases in each cell."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
