About this exercise

Write a call script for the CEO in plain text, under 150 words, with four labeled parts on their own lines: Open:, Facts:, Offer:, Ask:. Use only the confirmed facts and the authorized offer. Do not promise anything else, and do not mention any rumor. Ask: is one question asking whether December 3 still works for their launch. Speak in short sentences.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Promising extras. The AI offers air freight to smooth things over. Try: Say: "Do not promise anything except the authorized offer."
  • Mentioning the rumor. The AI warns that the date could slip. Try: Say: "Use only confirmed facts; no rumors."
  • Vague offer. The AI says "a credit". Try: Say: "State the 5 percent credit and its dollar value."
  • Wrong structure. The AI writes a speech with no labels. Try: Say: "Four labeled parts: Open:, Facts:, Offer:, Ask:."
  • Markdown. The AI bolds labels. Try: Say: "Plain text."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."

What a strong prompt includes

  • Names the four parts
  • Restricts to confirmed facts
  • Bans rumors and extras
  • Ask is one question
  • Plain text
