About this exercise
Build an incident timeline from the chat log. Write exactly 5 lines in time order in the form HH:MM - event, for these five events: the first report, the confirmation, the rollback, errors at zero and the closing. Use only events with a timestamp in the log, convert the times to 24-hour format, and use the correct time where someone corrected a message. Do not include opinions or guesses. Last line: Duration: and the minutes between the first and last event.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Old rollback time. The AI uses 14:18. Try: Say: "Priya corrected it to 14:16."
- Including guesses. The AI adds 'vendor issue'. Try: Say: "No opinions or guesses."
- Wrong time format. The AI keeps pm. Try: Say: "Convert to 24-hour HH:MM."
- Wrong duration. The AI miscounts minutes. Try: Say: "Compute minutes between the first and last event."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 12 words."
- Wrong format. The AI uses bullets. Try: Say: "Format: HH:MM - event, numbered."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
