About this exercise

Compute ROI for each initiative as benefit divided by cost, rounded to one decimal and written like 1.4x. Then decide: Stop if ROI is below 1.0x, Continue if from 1.0x up to and including 2.0x, Invest if above 2.0x. Use the latest figures. Output a table with the header Initiative | ROI | Decision, one row each in the order listed, then the exact line: Counts: Stop N, Continue N, Invest N, with the numbers. Plain text, under 110 words.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Using the uncorrected benefit. The AI computes 1.7x for the partner portal. Try: Say: "Use the latest figures, including Finance's correction."
  • Boundary mistakes. The AI marks 1.0x as Stop. Try: Say: "Continue is from 1.0x up to and including 2.0x."
  • Using the old deck threshold. The AI uses 1.5x. Try: Say: "Apply only the Stop, Continue, Invest rule given."
  • Wrong count line. The AI leaves it out or miscounts. Try: Say: "End with Counts: Stop N, Continue N, Invest N."
  • Wrong table. The AI reorders rows. Try: Say: "Exactly this header and five rows in the listed order."
  • Markdown. The AI bolds decisions. Try: Say: "Plain text."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
