About this exercise
Build a table for the CEO's chief of staff in New York with the header Meeting | London time | New York time | Flag, one row per meeting, sorted by time. London is 5 hours ahead of New York this week. Flag is Early if the New York time is before 06:00, otherwise OK. Use 24-hour times. Plain text, under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old lunch time. The AI keeps 12:30. Try: Say: "Use the moved time for the investor lunch."
- Including every meeting. The AI lists all five. Try: Say: "Only the meetings the chief of staff joins."
- Time zone math slip. The AI adds the hours instead of subtracting. Try: Say: "New York is 5 hours behind London: subtract 5."
- Wrong flag. The AI marks all as OK. Try: Say: "Early if the New York time is before 06:00."
- Wrong table. The AI adds a notes column. Try: Say: "Exactly this header, three rows, sorted by time."
- Markdown. The AI bolds Early. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
What a strong prompt includes
