About this exercise
Write the opening the CEO will say aloud at the leadership offsite: plain text, 5 sentences, under 100 words. Sentence 1 states the one question the offsite must answer. Sentence 2 says what the group will have by 4 pm. Sentence 3 sets one ground rule. Sentence 4 names the lunch break time. Sentence 5 is a plain thanks. No jokes and no mission-statement language.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Mission language. The AI uses 'unlock our potential'. Try: Say: "No mission-statement language."
- Missing the question. The AI opens with a greeting. Try: Say: "Sentence 1 states the question."
- Vague outcome. The AI says 'make progress'. Try: Say: "Name the outputs by 4 pm."
- Too many sentences. The AI writes a speech. Try: Say: "Exactly 5 sentences."
- Markdown. The AI adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain spoken text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each sentence: "each under 20 words."
