About this exercise
Build a table with the header Date | Milestone | Owner for the sunset of the Classic product, sorted earliest first, with exactly four rows. Use the latest date for each milestone when the notes changed one. Then add the exact line: Not a customer notice; Legal reviews before anything is sent. Plain text, under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using old dates. The AI uses Feb 24 or Jun 15. Try: Say: "Use the latest date for each milestone."
- Wrong sort or count. The AI adds rows for the discount or press release. Try: Say: "Exactly four rows, earliest first."
- Mismatched owners. The AI swaps owners. Try: Say: "Match each owner to their milestone."
- Missing the closing line. The AI adds commentary. Try: Say: "End with the exact line."
- Markdown. The AI bolds headers. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
What a strong prompt includes

- Says latest date
