About this exercise
Two reports describe the same business. Compare them in a markdown table with columns Metric, Report A, Report B, Conflict? (Yes or No) and Which to trust. Include exactly the 5 metrics named in the notes. Which to trust must be A, B or Neither and use only the reasons in the notes. Then one line: Questions for the client: with a single question. Output only the table and that line.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Flagging rounding as conflict. The AI marks 24.1% vs 24% as a conflict. Try: Say: "Rounding differences are not conflicts."
- Trusting the deck. The AI averages the two. Try: Say: "Trust the signed-off audited report where B includes pending or lapsed items."
- Wrong columns. The AI changes the headers. Try: Say: "Use the five exact columns."
- No question. The AI omits the last line. Try: Say: "End with Questions for the client: and one question."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each cell: "each cell under 14 words."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
