About this exercise

Write the post for the team channel in plain text, at most 3 sentences and under 55 words. Start exactly with "Please welcome Tamika Rowe!" Include her role, start date, and one work fact from her profile. Do not mention her age, family, marital status, health, religion, hometown or where she lives. End exactly with "Say hi when you see her."

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Personal details. The AI mentions twins or the marathon. Try: Say: "Do not mention age, family, health, religion or where she lives."
  • Too long. The AI writes a paragraph. Try: Say: "At most 3 sentences, under 50 words."
  • Missing facts. The AI skips the date or role. Try: Say: "Include her role, start date and one work fact."
  • Exact start and end. The AI writes its own opening and closing. Try: Say: "Start and end with the exact lines given."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
  • Markdown. The AI bolds words or adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
