Summarize panel feedback for the hiring debrief
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're prepping the hiring debrief from four interviewers' written feedback. Write exactly 4 numbered lines, one per interviewer in the order listed, each as 'Name: Hire or No hire - one job-related reason', plain text, under 70 words. Use each interviewer's final vote, and drop any comment that isn't about the job.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking to 'summarize the feedback'. The AI writes paragraphs per interviewer and its own recommendation. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 4 numbered lines: 'Name: Hire or No hire - one reason'. Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each line instead: "each line under 16 words."
- Using the first vote. Ines's first vote is No hire, and her update is below it. Try: Add: "Use each interviewer's final vote. Ines changed to Hire."
- Repeating non-job comments. 'Culture fit' and personal details are in the notes, and the AI may pass them on. Try: Add: "Job-related reasons only. No culture fit, no personal details."
What a strong prompt includes

- Job-related only
