Turn leadership meeting notes into a team update without leaks
- For Managers and team leads
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Advanced
About this exercise
Write a team update from the leadership notes in plain text, with exactly 4 dash bullets, each under 22 words. Lines that begin "L:" are leadership-only, so leave them out entirely. Also leave out names of people whose roles may change and all salary or budget amounts. Start with the line "Team update" and finish with the line: Questions to me directly.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Including L: lines. The AI includes the acquirer talks. Try: Say: "Leave out lines that begin L: entirely."
- Leaking the possible merge. The AI shares the Ravi item. Try: Say: "Leave out names of people whose roles may change and any budget amounts."
- Using the old migration date. The AI uses Dec 1. Try: Say: "Use the new CRM date, Jan 6."
- Wrong shape. The AI adds headings and extra bullets. Try: Say: "Start with Team update, exactly 4 dash bullets, then the closing line."
- Markdown. The AI bolds dates. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
