- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Build a week-two plan for Lena as a table with the header Day | Focus | With, one row per weekday Monday to Friday. Do not schedule anything during a blocked slot. Each weekday has exactly one Focus from the list in the notes, used once each. Keep Focus under 8 words. Last line exactly: Lena confirms the plan on Monday. Plain text, under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Scheduling on blocked days. The AI books Ravi or Mia on Wednesday. Try: Say: "Do not schedule anything in a blocked slot."
- Repeating a focus. The AI uses a focus twice. Try: Say: "Use each focus once, one per day."
- Ignoring day limits. The AI puts the ticket review on Thursday. Try: Say: "Respect each item's available days."
- Missing the last line. The AI adds a friendly note. Try: Say: "End with the exact line."
- Markdown. The AI bolds days. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
What a strong prompt includes
