- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write a welcome message for the team channel in plain text, under 75 words. Include her name with the pronunciation in parentheses, her role, her start date and the team lunch. Do not guess at her hobbies or background. End with a question inviting people to share one tip for a first week, and use no exclamation marks and no emojis.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Guessing hobbies. The AI mentions hiking. Try: Say: "Do not guess at her hobbies or background."
- Missing pronunciation. The AI leaves it out. Try: Say: "Include the pronunciation in parentheses."
- Emoji and exclamations. The AI writes an excited message. Try: Say: "No exclamation marks or emojis."
- No closing question. The AI ends with a statement. Try: Say: "End with a question inviting one first-week tip."
- Too long. The AI writes a paragraph. Try: Say: "Under 50 words."
- Markdown. The AI bolds her name. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
