About this exercise

Score the two proposals with the weights below. Build a table with the header Criterion | Weight | Slack form | Ticket tool, three rows, with each score cell showing score times weight like "4 x 3 = 12". Use the latest scores from the pilot update. Then two lines: "Totals:" with both sums, and "Recommendation:" naming the higher total in one sentence of at most 15 words. Plain text, under 110 words. Weights: Cost 3, Speed 2, Ease 1.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Using the old speed score. The AI keeps the ticket tool at 5, giving 22. Try: Say: "Use the latest scores from the pilot update."
  • Not showing the working. The AI shows only totals. Try: Say: "Each cell like 4 x 3 = 12."
  • Using the side note. The AI adds a convenience point for Slack. Try: Say: "Score only the three criteria."
  • Wrong table. The AI adds a total row or columns. Try: Say: "Header Criterion | Weight | Slack form | Ticket tool, three rows."
  • Markdown. The AI bolds totals. Try: Say: "Plain text."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."

What a strong prompt includes
