About this exercise
Pick the team's priorities using this rule: a topic becomes a priority only if at least two of the three sources support it. Write exactly 3 lines starting "Priority:", each with the topic and its sources in brackets like [CEO, Roadmap]. Then one line starting "Needs a decision:" that lists the topics supported by only one source. Plain text, under 70 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Counting a moved item. The AI includes the partner portal pilot. Try: Say: "Use the latest information: the pilot moved to Q2."
- Including single-source topics. The AI adds pricing or tech debt as priorities. Try: Say: "A priority needs at least two sources."
- Missing source tags. The AI lists topics without sources. Try: Say: "Show sources in brackets like [CEO, Roadmap]."
- Wrong shape. The AI writes a narrative. Try: Say: "Exactly 3 Priority: lines then one Needs a decision: line."
- Markdown. The AI bolds the topics. Try: Say: "Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
What a strong prompt includes
