About this exercise
Compute the team's available engineer-days for each of the next three 2-week sprints. Output a markdown table with columns Sprint, Working days, Leave days, Available days (Working days minus Leave days). Use only the notes; each sprint has 10 working days per person except where a public holiday is listed. Then one final line starting "Smallest sprint:" naming it and its available days. Output only the table and that line.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Forgetting holidays. The AI uses 50 working days for every sprint. Try: Say: "Each holiday removes 1 day per person."
- Using Eli's old leave. The AI puts his leave in S2. Try: Say: "Eli's leave moved to Dec 20 in S3."
- No final line. The AI ends with a paragraph. Try: Say: "End with Smallest sprint: and its available days."
- Wrong columns. The AI invents columns. Try: Say: "Columns: Sprint, Working days, Leave days, Available days."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap it: "table cells hold numbers only."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 12 words."
