About this exercise
Write a short spoken script for sales rep Marcus to tell a prospect that their NDA needs legal review first. Plain text, three lines starting Open:, Explain:, Close:, under 90 words. Mention that legal's turnaround is 2 business days. Do not promise the NDA will be approved, do not comment on its terms, and do not offer a signing date.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Promising Thursday. The AI tries to be helpful and confirms the demo. Try: Say: "Do not offer a signing date or confirm the demo."
- Commenting on terms. The AI mentions the six-year term or one-way protection. Try: Say: "Do not comment on the NDA's terms."
- Skipping the timeline. The AI says legal will review soon. Try: Say: "Mention the 2 business days turnaround."
- Not a script. The AI writes an email style with a subject. Try: Say: "Three spoken lines: Open:, Explain:, Close:"
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI runs long. Try: Say: "Each line under 28 words."
- Markdown. The AI bolds labels. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold."
