Triage three NDAs in one comparison table
- For Legal teams
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Build a markdown table triaging the three NDAs against the playbook. Columns exactly: NDA, Mutual, Term, Non-solicit, Result. One row per NDA. Result is GREEN, YELLOW or RED by the playbook count. Judge what the clauses do, not what the document is titled. After the table, add one line starting Send to legal: that names the NDAs that are not GREEN. Under 110 words, nothing else.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Trusting the title. The AI sees Mutual in the header and marks NDA C as mutual. Try: Say: "Judge what the clauses do, not the title."
- Wrong table shape. The AI adds extra columns or writes prose. Try: Say: "Columns exactly: NDA, Mutual, Term, Non-solicit, Result."
- Missing the escalation line. The AI ends with a long discussion. Try: Say: "End with one line starting Send to legal: naming the non-GREEN NDAs."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long. Try: Say: "Table cells are 3 words or fewer; one closing line."
What a strong prompt includes

- Uses the playbook count
