About this exercise
Write a prep memo for the legal manager using exactly these three headings in order: ## Within playbook, ## Needs approval, ## Questions for counsel. Sort each stakeholder ask by the playbook ladder and name the approver in Needs approval. Under 190 words. Questions for counsel are questions only. Do not advise accepting or refusing any ask, and do not say what the law requires.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Over-escalating. The AI sends the 4% increase for approval. Try: Say: "Apply the ladder; asks inside the fallback need no approval."
- Wrong approver. The AI sends the cap to the Finance Director. Try: Say: "Name the approver from the playbook for each ask."
- Taking sides. The AI recommends accepting Alma's cap to close. Try: Say: "Do not advise accepting or refusing any ask."
- Wrong headings. The AI invents its own sections. Try: Say: "Use exactly these three headings in order."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI runs long. Try: Say: "Each bullet under 18 words."
