- For Legal teams
- You practice Giving the right context
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write a short memo for the legal manager comparing the agreement terms with the playbook. Use exactly these four headings in order: ## Deal, ## Matches playbook, ## Deviations, ## Questions for counsel. Under 200 words. Deviations must show both the contract term and the playbook position. Questions for counsel is a list of questions only. Do not say whether the agreement should be signed or what the law requires.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Burying deviations. The AI lists everything in one narrative. Try: Say: "Use exactly these four headings in order."
- Deviation without both sides. The AI says 'payment is long' without the playbook range. Try: Say: "Show the contract term and the playbook position."
- Missing the vague insurance wording. The AI calls insurance fine or skips it. Try: Say: "Put unclear wording in Questions for counsel."
- Recommending. The AI says to sign or negotiate. Try: Say: "Do not say whether to sign."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI runs long. Try: Say: "Each bullet one line under 15 words."
What a strong prompt includes

- Both sides shown
