About this exercise
Turn the close-out procedure into a checklist. Plain text. The first line is exactly: Matter close-out checklist. Then one line per current step, in the procedure's order, each starting with "[ ]" and a verb, 12 words or fewer. Skip retired steps. Under 110 words total.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Retired step listed. The AI includes the fax step. Try: Say: "Skip retired steps."
- Order changed. The AI regroups the steps. Try: Say: "Keep the procedure's order."
- Wrong line style. The AI uses bullets or long sentences. Try: Say: "Each line starts with [ ] and a verb, under 12 words."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
- Markdown. The AI bolds words or adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
