Write a launch post that uses only legal-approved claims

Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.

About this exercise

Fernway launches its new Auto-Assign feature on March 18, and you're writing the company LinkedIn post. Open with the customer's problem, never say "excited", "thrilled" or "announce", and end with the link (fernway.example/auto-assign) as the very last line. Use only claims the launch brief lists as approved. Keep it under 60 words, plain text, in the brand's calm voice: no emojis, no hashtags and no exclamation marks. Write a prompt that gets that post.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Saying "write a LinkedIn post about this". The AI writes a typical launch post: "We're thrilled to announce!", emojis, exclamation marks and a wall of hashtags. Try: Set the shape: "Open with the customer's problem and end with the link. Never say excited or announce. No emojis, hashtags or exclamation marks."
  • Letting it pick the claims. The AI reaches for the most impressive numbers on the page, even the ones marked not approved or unverified. Try: Add: "Use only the claims under APPROVED CLAIMS. Don't use the 3x claim or the 92% stat."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for "under 60 words" and it often lands well over. Try: Cap each part instead, like "each sentence under 12 words," so the total lands well under 60.
  • Forgetting LinkedIn shows plain text. AI adds **bold** that LinkedIn displays as literal asterisks. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold."

What a strong prompt includes

  • Opens with the problem
  • Limits claims to approved ones
  • Rules out emojis, hashtags and exclamation marks
  • Sets a word limit
  • Asks for plain text
