Write coffee bag blurbs from the cupping sheet only
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You roast coffee at Bellweather Roasters and need short descriptions for 3 new bags. Write exactly 3 numbered lines in the shape Origin - tasting notes - roast level, each under 15 words, using only the tasting notes on the final cupping sheet (not the importer's marketing words). Plain text, only the list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not giving the line shape. The AI writes a paragraph per coffee with brewing tips. Try: Show it: "Origin - tasting notes - roast level."
- Mixing in the importer's words. "Blueberry bomb" and "explosive tropical fruit" are vivid, so the AI uses them. Try: Add: "Use only our final cupping notes. Never the importer's words."
- Keeping dropped notes. The AI keeps jasmine and earthy from the notes. Try: Add: "No jasmine, no earthy."
- Getting formatting. The AI bolds coffee names and adds headings. Try: Add: "Exactly 3 numbered lines, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes

- Says how many
- Uses only the final cupping
- Rules out the importer's words
