Pull complaint themes from competitor reviews, with counts
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're researching a rival's weak spots before Kindlecrate's spring campaign. From the competitor's reviews, write exactly 3 numbered themes, each in the shape Theme - N reviews, under 10 words, for complaints at least 2 reviews share. Use only what the reviews say, count carefully, and reply with only the plain-text list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not asking for counts. The AI lists complaints without saying how many reviews back each one. Try: Add: "Each line: Theme - N reviews."
- Including one-offs. The AI turns every complaint into a theme. Try: Add: "Only themes at least 2 reviews share."
- Adding the team's opinion. The strategist's "terrible customer service" sounds like a finding. Try: Add: "Use only what the reviews say."
- Getting a report. The AI writes an analysis with headings and quotes. Try: Add: "Exactly 3 numbered lines, plain text."
