Write donation tier lines with the corrected impact numbers
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're writing the giving tiers for Clearwater Watershed Alliance's year-end email. Write exactly 3 numbered lines for the $25, $100 and $250 tiers, each in the shape $amount: what it does, under 14 words, using the updated impact numbers. Make no tax-deduction claims (finance is still checking), and reply with only the plain-text list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using last year's numbers. The draft numbers come first and are bigger. Try: Add: "Use Ama's Dec 2 update: 5 trees, half a ton."
- Adding a tax claim. Year-end appeals in the AI's training almost always say tax-deductible. Try: Add: "Don't mention tax deductions."
- No line shape. The AI writes a paragraph per tier with bold amounts and emojis. Try: Show it: "$25: what it does, under 12 words."
- Adding extras. The AI adds an intro and a custom amount line. Try: Add: "Exactly 3 numbered lines, nothing else."
What a strong prompt includes

- Uses the updated impact
- Rules out tax claims

- Asks for only the list
