Write landing page benefit blocks backed by beta numbers
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're the PM for Ledgerleaf, an invoicing app for contractors, writing the 3 benefit blocks under the hero. Write exactly 3 numbered lines in the shape Benefit headline: one sentence, with the headline under 6 words and the sentence under 18 words. Tie each to a v1 feature, use only the beta numbers marked final, and skip the banned phrase "AI-powered". Plain text, only the list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the preliminary stat. "Saves 6 hours a week" is the catchiest number, so the AI uses it. Try: Add: "Only final beta numbers. Skip the 6 hours."
- Inventing benefits. The AI writes generic benefits like "look professional" that no feature backs. Try: Add: "Tie each block to one v1 feature."
- Letting the buzzword in. "AI-powered" is the AI's favorite app adjective. Try: Add: "Never say AI-powered."
- No block shape. The AI writes headings with paragraphs, in bold. Try: Show it: "Benefit headline: one sentence."
- Too many blocks. The AI writes 5 or 6 benefits. Try: Add: "Exactly 3 numbered lines."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets the block shape
- Says how many
- Uses only final numbers
- Bans the buzzword
- Asks for only the list
