Write marketplace listing bullets that match the care label
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You sell hand-thrown mugs from Kilnworks Pottery on an online marketplace, and the listing needs feature bullets. Write at most 4 bullets, each in the shape Label: detail, under 18 words. Use only facts from the spec, say hand-wash only (not dishwasher safe), and use plain text with no intro.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Copying the old listing. "Dishwasher and microwave safe" is a stock mug line, and it's in the notes. Try: Add: "Hand-wash only. Never say dishwasher safe."
- Adding certifications. The AI adds "food-safe certified" to sound trustworthy. Try: Add: "Only spec facts. Never food-safe certified."
- No bullet shape. The AI writes bullets with all-caps labels and long sentences. Try: Show it: "Size: 14 oz stoneware, under 14 words."
- Too many bullets. The AI writes 7 bullets plus an intro, in bold. Try: Add: "At most 4 bullets, plain text, no intro."
What a strong prompt includes
- Limits the bullets
- Sets the bullet shape
- Gets the care right
- Rules out certifications
- Asks for plain text
