Fill in a press kit fact sheet with current facts
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're updating the fact sheet in Wavelength Audio's press kit. Write exactly 5 lines labeled Founded:, Headquarters:, Employees:, Customers: and Website:, each under 10 words, with the current facts from your notes. No adjectives like leading or innovative, and use plain text with nothing else.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Copying the old sheet. The old fact sheet is complete and comes first. Try: Add: "Use the changes: Denver HQ, 132 employees, 18,400 customers, .com."
- Missing the founding city fix. The founding fix is buried in the notes. Try: Add: "Founded 2016 in San Antonio."
- Adding adjectives. Press kits in the AI's training say "leading" and "trusted by". Try: Add: "No trusted by, leading or innovative."
- Trusting the AI to count words. Lines grow into sentences. Try: Cap it: "Each line under 7 words."
- Getting formatting. Labels come back bold or out of order. Try: Add: "These 5 labels in order, plain text, no bold."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the 5 labels
- Uses the changes
- Fixes the founding city
- Rules out puffery
- Asks for plain text
