Pair print ad headlines with subheads for a new listing
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're placing a print ad for a listing in the Lakeshore Homes magazine. Write exactly 3 numbered pairs in the shape Headline | Subhead, with headlines under 8 words and subheads under 20 words, using the verified lot size and the confirmed open house date. Describe the home, not the buyer, and reply with only the plain-text list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the seller's lot size. "Nearly an acre" sounds better than 0.72. Try: Add: "Lot is 0.72 acres, from the survey."
- Using the draft date. Sunday, April 13 appears first. Try: Add: "Open house is Saturday, April 12."
- Describing the buyer. The AI uses the seller's "perfect for retirees". Try: Add: "Describe the home, never who it's for."
- No pair shape. The AI writes a headline plus body copy in bold. Try: Show it: "Headline | Subhead."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets the pair shape
- Uses the survey
- Uses the confirmed date
- Describes the home, not the buyer
- Asks for only the list
