Check sales deck claims about a rival against their own page
Practice: Catching mistakes and made-up facts. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Before a deal review, you're checking 4 claims your team's deck makes about rival Ledgerly against Ledgerly's pricing page. Write exactly 4 numbered lines in the shape Claim - Confirmed, Wrong or Not on page - one-phrase reason, under 14 words each. Use only the pricing page, and reply with only the plain-text list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Defending the deck. The AI assumes your team's claims are right. Try: Add: "Check each claim only against their pricing page."
- Guessing on missing info. The AI calls the support claim wrong or right instead of unproven. Try: Add: "If the page doesn't say, label it Not on page."
- Fuzzy labels. The AI writes "partly true" or "misleading". Try: Add: "Use exactly Confirmed, Wrong or Not on page."
- Getting a table. The AI builds a table with bold verdicts. Try: Add: "Exactly 4 numbered lines, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets the labels
- Limits the source
- Asks for a reason
- Says how many
- Asks for only the list
