Pick the proof points for a sales one-pager
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're building the "Why teams switch" box on the sales one-pager for Ledgerlane, an expense app. You need a headline under 8 words, then at most 4 bullets, each under 15 words and each with one number from the case studies. Leave out the retracted pilot stat and anything marked internal, and use plain text with nothing else.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking for "a one-pager". The AI writes a whole page with headings, paragraphs and a call to action. Try: Name the box: "A headline under 8 words, then at most 4 bullets."
- Using every big number. The 80% fraud stat and the board numbers are the most impressive, so the AI picks them. Try: Add: "Only approved case study numbers. Skip the retracted 80% and internal numbers."
- Getting markdown. One-pagers come back with bold customer names and a heading. Try: Add: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
- Letting the hype in. The AI adds "revolutionary" and "best-in-class" to sales copy. Try: Add: "No revolutionary or best-in-class."
What a strong prompt includes
- Limits the bullets
- Asks for a number in each
- Skips the retracted claim
- Skips internal numbers
- Asks for plain text
