Draft grand opening headlines with the confirmed date
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're writing the press release for Saltbox Hardware's second store. Brainstorm exactly 4 numbered headlines, each under 14 words, each naming Saltbox Hardware and the confirmed opening date. No "first-ever" or "biggest" claims, and reply with only the plain-text list.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old date. May 2 appears first in the notes. Try: Add: "Opening is Saturday, May 9."
- Unproven claims. "Millbrook's first hardware store" sounds newsworthy. Try: Add: "No first or biggest claims."
- Missing the basics. The AI writes headlines without the name or date. Try: Add: "Each names Saltbox Hardware and May 9."
- Getting subheads. The AI adds subheads and bold labels. Try: Add: "Exactly 4 numbered headlines, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
