Turn a CEO draft into a LinkedIn post in the company voice
- For Executives
- You practice Getting the tone right
- Time about 5 minutes

About this exercise
The CEO of Tessellate Health Software sent a stiff draft to announce a product milestone. Write a prompt that turns it into a LinkedIn post in our company voice: warm, specific, first person plural. It must open with a hook of 12 words or fewer, then 3 short paragraphs after it, under 90 words in all, with no hashtags and no emoji. Leave out the acquisition rumor. End with one question to readers about their own clinic on its own last line. Plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Repeating the stiff language. The AI keeps 'industry-leading' and 'tireless dedication'. Try: Say: "Warm, specific, first person plural; no corporate phrases."
- Using the unreviewed result. The AI turns 'customers report fewer missed appointments' into a claim. Try: Say: "Don't claim outcomes; the data isn't published yet."
- Mentioning the rumor. The AI includes everything in the draft. Try: Add: "Leave out the acquisition rumor."
- Decorating the post. LinkedIn posts from AI get hashtags and emoji. Try: Say: "No hashtags, no emoji."
- Letting markdown through. AI adds bold text and headings by default. Try: Add: "Plain text only, no bold, no headings."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and often runs past a word limit. Try: Cap each part (for example "each line under 15 words") so the total lands well under the limit.
What a strong prompt includes
