Write a four-question quiz from a forklift pre-shift SOP
- For Learning and development
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write a prompt for a quiz with exactly 4 numbered questions, each testing a different step of the SOP, then a heading line "Answers" followed by 4 numbered short answers. Use only what the SOP says. Plain text, under 120 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old tire rule. The AI mentions weekly tire checks. Try: Say: "Use the current tire rule (every shift)."
- Two questions on one step. The AI repeats the battery question. Try: Say: "Each question on a different step."
- Missing the Answers heading. The AI mixes answers into each question. Try: Say: "Then a line that says only: Answers."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold, headings and bullets by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets the count
- Asks for an Answers heading
- Says use only the SOP
- Handles the revision
- Asks for plain text
