Send patients a class series schedule with the room changes
Practice: Saying who it's for. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You coordinate a 4-week healthy cooking class series at your clinic and are texting the schedule to the patients who signed up. You want exactly 4 numbered lines in date order, each as date - topic - room, under 45 words, plain text. Use the room changes and the swapped week from the latest email, and leave out the staff-only notes. Write a prompt that gets you exactly that.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Copying the old plan. The plan list is clean and looks final. Try: Add: "Apply the Jan 2 email: Room A becomes Room C, and swap Jan 15 and Jan 22."
- Half-applying the swap. The AI swaps topics but keeps the old rooms. Try: Add: "Move each topic with its new room."
- Including staff notes. The AI adds the budget and ingredient order. Try: Add: "This goes to patients. Leave out staff-only notes."
- Letting the AI pick the layout. The AI writes a friendly flyer with headings. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 4 numbered lines like '1. Jan 8 - Smart grocery shopping - Room C'. Plain text."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for "under 45 words" and it often lands well over. Try: Cap each part instead: "each line under 8 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Says how many lines
- Uses the room change
- Applies the swap
- Says who reads it
- Hides staff notes
