Send sellers a 3-sentence weekly update on their listing
Practice: Saying who it's for. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're the listing agent for the Patels' home and send them a short update every Friday. You want at most 3 sentences, plain text, with the offer news in the first sentence. Get the showing count right (one was canceled), share only feedback from actual buyers, and leave out what other agents said about their own listings. Write a prompt that gets you exactly that.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Burying the offer. The AI tells the week day by day, so the offer news comes last. Try: Add: "First sentence: the offer news."
- Counting the canceled showing. The notes say 6 booked, and the AI repeats it. Try: Add: "Count only showings that happened."
- Including agent chatter. The AI mixes in the other agents' comments about their own listings. Try: Add: "Only feedback about this house from buyers who saw it."
- Asking for a summary. The AI writes a bulleted day-by-day report. Try: Be exact: "At most 3 sentences, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
- Puts the offer first
- Counts the showings right
- Filters the feedback
- Says who reads it
- Limits the sentences
